In episode 2, Shizuko gets some alarming news from the doctor. Not knowing how long she has to live, she writes a letter to Gozo Daimaru, and sends Shinobu and Taeko to hand-deliver it to his mansion in Tokyo. Disturbed by recent events, Chizuko decides to cut her vacation in Manazuru short, and she and Masato return to the mansion as well. Gozo shows Chizuko the only photo he kept of her mother Keiko, and we learn more about her in flashbacks. Michio decides to give up his promising trumpeting career to re-join the Migrating Birds Gang, with the mission of bringing a fight to Gozo and the Daimaru Corporation. Shizuko tracks down her ne’er do well husband Ryusaku and tries to get him to come with her to confess to Gozo, but Ryusaku has other plans…
And we’re also releasing a revised version of episode 1. No major changes, just a few spelling and grammar tweaks.
This is a joint project with Grown Ups in Spandex. Check out their site here for tons of subtitled Super Sentai.

Weird. My whole post originally went something like this :
1) Shouting “I’m a little runaway” out by my window.
2) Neighbors throw things at me.
3) That was worth it.

I recognized Megumi Mori but I had no idea that the girl that played Chizuko was Miki from Gekiranger! Dang.

I had no idea either, as I’ve never gotten around to watching any of the sentaI shows after DaiRanger.

If the story’s going the way I think it’s going, it’s gonna be an awesome clusterf**k. Also: didn’t realize until now that the music was by Shunsuke Kikuchi. The idea that the Japanese equivalent to… I don’t know, “The Thorn Birds” or such 80s miniseries (not sure I’m making sense) has music by the dude who scored Grendizer and Dragon Ball makes me tremble with joy for some reason. We just missed out on so many great things.

It’s very great this series, truly is very well done. By the way, i’m of a spanish fansub (Rider Kick Fansub), and i would like to give me permission to translate it into spanish, i will put the acknowledgments as it should be, both to you and fo G.U.I.S. (Grown Up In Spandex), for doing a such good series. And if no bother if let me traduce, also in my language Sukenba Deka, since the community in Spanish liked so much

I see that you already subtitled the first two episodes without asking our permission. Generally it’s considered polite to ask permission before you do something, not after.
