This project is currently on hold due to the translator taking a much deserved vacation after many years of hard work on fan subtitling . If anyone out there can help with translations, or any other groups want to take this on as a joint project, please let me know.

There are some Tokusatsu show I’m hoping you could subs like Wild 7 (1972), Sukeban Deka (1985), and Hana no Asuka-gumi (1988)

Sukeban Deka has already been subbed.

Hana no Asuka-gumi is great and I hope someone picks it up.

There are two different subtitled versions of Sukeban Deka I. The first one was posted to d-addicts many years ago, the translator did a good job but it was a little rough around the edges. Skewed-S took those scripts and gave them a very thorough QC and polish, those new and improved versions are available from the link provided by Paul.

Wild 7 and Hana no Asuka-gumi are both shows I would love to see subtitled, I just don’t know if I’ll ever have time to do them myself. I was thinking of subtitling Janus no Kagami as my next J-Drama project if I ever finish with Stepsisters. Hana no Asuka-gumi is a show I might seriously consider if I could find a translator for it. I’m surprised no other groups have shown an interest in it.

Thank you for doing at least this much. Been watching a cheap DVD version, while the subs are good enough to let me know whats going on the timing is horrendous with much of the dialog only briefly flashing on screen. I really hope someone picks this up. Again thanks for the effort.

Are those DVD subs available elsewhere? Skaro has been doing a great job quality-wise, but, if they took years to release a single episode when they had a translation, now that is on hold… I want to watch this show before I die, so I am up to watch it with worse subs.

Yeah, I bought the Malasian set off eBay myself years ago, too. I seem to remember that the subs were better on this set, not great but not as awful as those other crabstick ones.

A while back I OCRd the script for episode three from that set, and was kind of working on cleaning it up a little bit, but I don’t usually release those type of “scrubbed subs.”

Nanto, please give us some more Azteckaiser, Battle Hawk, and Ogon Bat. Been quite a while. We need more vintage out there in the world. Thanks for what we have so far!
